Three Drownings In Three Days At Lake Mead

Last week, three people drowned in the Lake Mead National recreation Area in three days and the number of drowning deaths in the lake has already hit the average for most years.

Officials at Lake Mead have noticed a pattern. The drowning victims are often grown men who jump off a boat in the middle of the lake – without a life jacket. When they become distressed, they cannot reach the boat in time.
